still working to help God make this World a better place
“he is not here, for he has risen, as he said.”
The unexpected-impossible had taken place. Jesus, with whom his followers had lived together for maybe some three years, though clearly human, turned out to be much more. He was also divine.
Thanks to His death we realised that Jesus loved us boundlessly. Thanks to his resurrection, I know that Jesus was indeed divine. Death could not control his life. Divine, Jesus is no longer in just one place. He is, as gravity though invisible, everywhere.
Springtime, with the beauty of blossoms, reminds me of that presence.
Thanks to that conviction, I know that my life is a journey to eternity and that even now I am never alone. As I sit on a tube or bus – as I walk down the road – I share my feelings about what I see with Jesus.
Though celibate, I am always with my best friend who, by the way, alive in Eternity, does not age or become wrinkled.
This friendship is one of the reasons that I do not look my age. The presence of Jesus – the one I call Yesh – in my heart, keeps me young at heart – and slower to age.
Notice that the Risen Christ, does not punish those who condemned him to his agony and death. He leaves all that behind. He returns to life with a simple word: peace. A powerful lesson for you and me when someone has been nasty to us.
Why not have a thought these days? “How can I improve my relationship with God and thus find strength, motivation and joy to help God make my neck of the woods a better place?”
